As America celebrates its founding principles of freedom and independence this weekend, we celebrate the strength of survivors of domestic abuse every day as they seek their own freedom and independence.
“My kids and I are finally living in peace, and this would not have been possible without your help. I am so grateful for everything you have done for me and my children. The day I came to SHALVA is the day I found HOPE. It took us three years to become independent; the entire time I knew SHALVA had our backs.”
At SHALVA, we support each woman that comes through our doors as she makes her own choices about independence and her future. Through counseling, survivors find that hope and change are possible.
As we gather on the Fourth of July, let us remember the courageous women who are on a journey to finding freedom, and recommit to reaching those whose journey has not yet begun.
Wishing you a safe celebration,
