As we approach the end of November, most thoughts turn to Thanksgiving, the best way to make a turkey and Aunt Marilyn’s best stuffing recipe.
When I was asked to write this month’s blog, my first thoughts were all the obvious things I am thankful for:
- I am thankful SHALVA exists.
- I am thankful for the counseling services SHALVA offers.
- I am thankful for the legal services SHALVA provides.
- I am thankful for the financial help SHALVA can offer our clients.
But really, what I am most thankful for is the privilege of working with our amazing clients. Our clients are unique because as survivors they are:
- strong women who are trying to thrive in very difficult times.
- battling a difficult legal system.
- up against spouses who are trying to destroy them both emotionally and financially.
- parenting children who are angry with them for the decisions they have made.
- remarkable, resilient women who are focused on regaining their lives and thriving.
I am thankful for the strength and the fortitude of our clients, and they inspire me to continue to support them.
Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving filled with gratitude and peace.
