Our Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Continuing Legal Education program examines Orders of Protection. Attorneys and litigants encounter a complex process before, during and after obtaining an Order of Protection. The steps in the process can involve various agencies and individuals, and there are often delays or difficulties. Our panel of experts will address these issues and provide information to try and simplify/clarify these matters for litigants and their attorneys.

Removing the abusive party once obtaining an Order of Protection
Notifying local law enforcement after obtaining an Order of Protection and how involved can local law enforcement be.
Enforcing the terms of an Order of Protection.
Seeking criminal charges against abusive parties who violate Orders of Protection
