Patrisha McLean was married for 29 years to the singer-songwriter Don (“American Pie”) McLean. From the outside Patrisha’s life seemed like a fairy tale, but she now publicly describes her married life as a nightmare of physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse. Patrisha’s daughter, Jackie McLean, recently broke her silence about her own experiences with abuse. Jackie and Patrisha will share how their experiences impacted their individual lives as well as their mother/daughter relationship.

Patrisha McLean is a photojournalist, human rights advocate and the founder/president of Finding Our Voices, which marshals survivor faces and voices to break the silence of domestic abuse.

Jackie McLean is a NY-based musician and writer. She is the founder and frontwoman of the musical project Roan Yellowthorn.
