Planning for SHALVA’s Annual Luncheon is underway. Your participation on the Luncheon Committee will help make our main fundraising event a success.
We are thrilled that Caroline Bettinger-Lopez, Professor of Clinical Legal Education and Director of the Human Rights Clinic at the University of Miami School of Law, is the speaker. Bettinger-Lopez is featured in the film Home Truth, a chronicle of a mother’s pursuit of justice and the lasting effects of domestic abuse.
Responsibilities of a Luncheon Committee Member are nominal, and are mostly handled by email:
- Agree to have your name listed on the invitation.
- Provide us with a list of 4-8 friends/colleagues/contacts who might be interested in coming to the luncheon. We will send invitations to your list.
- Write notes to your contact list to be includes inside the invitations.
- Attend the event, if possible. (Individual tickets cost $180. Sponsorship opportunities are available.)
If you are interested in more involvement, there are opportunities to participate in other ways such as soliciting for sponsorships and in-kind donations, helping to create a program booklet or decorations, and day-of assistance.
You can still be on the committee and help SHALVA even if you cannot attend the luncheon. Contact Alison Bloom, Director of Development at [email protected] if you have any questions.
Hope you will join us!
